“The Palouse Empire Fair, I can see it now, the barns full of animals, the kids walking around getting ready to show, the yummy treats lining the walk, the carnival lights and the rodeo announcers voice all play in my head. For these reasons and so many others the PEF is one of my favorite times of the year, and luckily for me I had the amazing opportunity of representing it as a Palouse Empire Fair Ambassador for the last year. If you're like me and have great memories, involvement and fun at the PEF you should consider applying for ambassadorship this upcoming year. Throughout being an ambassador I not only got to represent the PEF but I gained some great opportunities and experiences, especially with the community and all those involved with the PEF. Say you show animals in 4-H or FFA, you’re already at the fair anyways, why not take the opportunity to represent your fair at the next level. And even if you don’t show an animal, enter something in the fair and focus on representing your fair as an ambassador. As someone who was always involved in the fair throughout 4-H and FFA, I can say that my year and fair as an ambassador was a great one. So take my advice and run to be a Palouse Empire Fair Ambassador. Trust me, you will learn so much, represent your fair so well, and have a blast!”
